I have never left at midnight to start a hike, so this one was quite the experience to say the least. We made it to Timp at 12:45 and started hiking at 1:00 AM. It took us until around 5:15 to hike the 7.5 miles to the summit. When we got there it was definitely a shock. Both visually and elementally! The wind came across the ledge and was biting at us as we scrambled to put on our winter jackets and anything that could keep us warm. We had to brace from the wind during the sunrise but overall it was an amazing experience.
