My Point of Veiw

Hello everybody! Its Brigitta. Carson is busy right now and he is letting me post today! Carson is laying next to me petting the cats and watching soccer and the New Mexico Bowl. (AKA being lazy) I'm so happy he's finally home! Apparently his blog wont post pictures right now so I'm sorry this post will be kind of boring.

We are watching UTEP get slaughtered by BYU and just experienced this miner/cowboy/hobo mascot thing who started dancing. It was not a pretty sight. Carson and I were laughing so hard because it was the worst mascot in the world. First of all it is a person. My question is why is he wearing a suit if the mascot is just a person. Second of all nobody knew what a lobo was which was I guess what he was called. Is it some form of hobo or something. Im just confused. Dont people go to college so they wont be hobos?  That is sure showcasing his school pride.

Cosmo is soooooo much better.

Anyways I am just so happy Carson is here otherwise I wouldn't have anyone to laugh with. Well we are going christmas shopping in an hour so I better go get ready. It was nice blogging for you.

Oooooouuuuuuuuuuuccccccchhhhhh!

So basically, I've decided that my Dad always inadvertently knows how to cheer me up. Whether it be by sending my a ridiculously long text message with zero punctuation that goes something like this, "Hey buddy hows the weather down there in provo your finals go okay we just got a christmas tree its a tall noble looks great hope your doing well how about them blazers", or in a conversational exchange we had yesterday. I am walking out of the JSB auditorium and see my less then desirable score on the American Heritage final and I had a text from my Dad that said, how's finals? I responded, "well i just got dominated with a 71% on American Heritage" thinking I would get some reassurance but the next text I got just said, "Ouuuuucccccccchhhhhhhhhh!!!!" Haha normally that would have offended me, because I studied long and hard for that! But I just smiled and laughed and said, "Yep, it was a tough one." He then replies with, "Hopefully they grade on a pretty steep curve when I went there that class was like cake I walked out with an easy A". That made me laugh too, I just responded with "Well times have changed since the olden days, Dad!" Ah it was great. Just getting that text, "Ouuuuuucccchhhh!" from my Dad was so unexpected, but it really made me realize that yes, I underperformed on a test, but what can I do about it now except study twice as hard for my next one!

Also, remember how I said yesterday about how I was grateful there was no snow and that it was 50 degrees out and sunny? Well I woke up this morning to this; Apparently I forgot to knock on wood!

We had a wonderful Christmas feast last Sunday at Robbie's house, where everyone made something. Brenton baked this massive pork shoulder and we had tons of ham, I of course made the green bean casserole. I can't wait to learn how to make Christmas fettucini that our family has every Christmas eve. That will be splendid. Also, I can't believe that Christmas is next week. For real!!!

It was Dallin's birthday too. We had fun getting him random knick-nacks. We went to Texas Roadhouse last night and feasted and Dallin got to ride the saddle since it was his birthday. I drank six glasses of water because I was so thirsty and everytime the waitress came back she gave me a new glass since she just knew. I wanted to get her to say "you a thiwsty boi!" like that waitress in Florida did in 10th grade, but she wouldn't do it because she said she would "ruin the accent and the memory!" She was a very funny lady.

Floccinaucinihilipilification.

Yep. It really stinks no matter how much you study you still don't get the grade you think you deserve, but such is the nature of college life.

My advice to people taking finals:

1. Never enter a test on an empty stomach, it is really distracting.
2. Have a happy and positive quote in your head all day so that no matter what happens you remember what is important.
3. Don't dwell on the past.
4.  Focus hard on the task at hand.
5. Remember all your blessings in life, there is so much to be grateful for.

So there you have it, I am blessed to have so many great friends in my life, I am blessed to have a wonderful family who I know loves me, I am blessed that is has been very warm and not snowy so I don't have to worry about slipping in front of everyone on my way to the testing center, I am blessed with a fast metabolism, I am blessed with a love for the gospel, I am blessed having a sister at college, I am blessed with a great ward both here and back home, I am blessed for a love of physical activity and competition, I am blessed with knowledge and loving to learn, I am blessed with the opportunity to go on a mission, I am blessed for the holiday season which I get to experience back home, so on and so forth.

Just thought I should recount some of the things I am grateful for. Also, my friend Tripper got his wisdoms pulled today.

Get better soon buddy, don't partially dry socket like I did. :) That was some of the worst pain I have ever been in in my entire life.

Are Finals Stressful?

Sorry, it's been awhile. But I thought this was hilarious.

At 11:11 I texted my sister "Make a wish" jokingly because we had been texting. I get a text a little later that just says, "I wish BYU would burn to the ground..."

Seriously sis!?!? Haha!!! I about lost it when I got that text. That is very radical, how about next semester you just do this:

"I wish I will do well on my finals and ace every one..."


Ah my sister is great.

Turn The World Upside Down

I was surprised one day when I walked in and found this laying on my desk; 

Another token of friendship. Dallin Shirley drew our dream house. And what an exceptional masterpiece that only took him ten minutes. "I would know because he wrote 'It only took me ten minutes' on the back." I just laughed really hard when I got this on my desk. Dallin is another one of those funny guys. 

Once we spent most of a Friday night just sitting in my room drawing. He drew this masterpiece: 

If you look there is a tortoise-hamster, some tubes or security cameras, a big basketball, rudolph the red nosed reindeer, and Dallin, Matzen and I in a big space ship. Oh. So good.

Once again I was reminded to remember the little things in life;

I opened up a bag of skittles. Eventually these were the only ones left. I was gifted with the baby skittle. One of the most highly sought after skittles in all the universe. I preserved the little munchkin for a very long time. It was like a child to me. Then I ate it. It was as good as all the others, if not better.

Oh. These are my favorite pens in the whole wide world. I would just say to all that if you have not tried a Pilot V Ball Extra Fine you are missing out on a whole lot. Let me tell ya. Sorry for the randomness of this post, its just certain things need to be said. I have been through so many things with these pens. These ones are brand new, I just got them. I love them already!

Also, I like taking little close up artsy shots of my stuff. It pleases me when one turns out. Like these ones...

Cats on the loose.

Sorry if it seems like I'm just beating this into the ground but cats are my favorite animal. Sorry my room was a wreck in the second video I was packing for college. The first video is of Leo over thanksgiving break. I just love how he pokes his little green eye out.

Also, awhile ago I noticed that my cat seems to have both a blue and a green eye. Shocking....maybe it was just the camera? But I love this picture.

When I Get Closer, It Stops

Dallin and I were in a moment of quiet when I noticed on my camera's display the lights that are normally still were pulsing quite madly on the screen until I got it close enough.

Also, I apologize that my computer is dirty. When in light it shows the dust that is there seemingly magnified times infinite.
